The minister made the remarks when flagging off an Asian Games Fun Run race at the Plaza Barat of the Bung Karno Sports Complex here on Sunday.
She said the government is committed to create a `fever` for the Asian Games among the Indonesian people and the world.
"Thank God, the promotion to make a warming up and a fever for the Asian Games has been done well now. We have been launching a popularization program among all the Indonesian people that we are going to host the biggest Asian sporting events next August," the minister said on the occasion of the fun run which was attended by some five thousand participants.
In addition to Jakarta, fun run is also held in Palembang and followed by about three thousand participants. In addition to showing the readiness of Indonesia as the host, the fun run is expected to also enliven the Asian Games.
????"We hope to participate in giving encouragement for all the people of Indonesia to participate in the 2018 Asian Games," said Minister Maharani.
????The organizing of this race is the 27th fun run after 26 other countries have organized a similar race.
????"After 56 years, Indonesia is again entrusted to host the 2018 Asian Games. The 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, is a momentum for Indonesia to show achievements, a great nation culture, and Indonesia`s advancement, with the energy of mutual cooperation of all components of Indonesian society, we hope we can make the Asian Games 2018 a success," said Puan.
????On this occasion, the Coordinating Minister for People`s Welfare also conveyed that athletes continue to prepare for the match to make achievements in the 2018 Asian Games for Indonesia.
????"This is the work of all the people of Indonesia.The victory of the Indonesian team at the 2018 Asian Games is Indonesia`s victory," said the minister.
