Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesia Asian Games 2018 Organizing Committee (INASGOC) has secured 22 more sponsors from state-owned and private companies.

The sponsorship agreement between INASGOC and the companies, signed here on Friday, was witnessed by Vice President M. Jusuf Kalla, who is also the steering committee chairman for the 18th Asian Games.

"We have secured 43 sponsorship partners, so far, that have contributed in cash or `value in kind` (non-cash). Some of the 22 sponsors that were present here meanwhile are official sponsors," INASGOC Chairman Erick Thohir stated.

He explained that the value in kind sponsorship included providing WiFi network, Transjakarta bus tickets, and insurance worth up to Rp869 billion.

With the additional 22 new sponsors, Thohir said collection of cash from all sponsors had increased by Rp780 billion.

"Our initial target was Rp300 billion. Today, we collected Rp780 billion worth in cash. Certainly, this is the result of your work from private and state-owned companies present here," he remarked.

Three of the 22 sponsors that signed the agreement were official sponsors: Mastercard, Tanoto Foundation, and Aice. Others as supporting sponsors including PT Adhi Karya, PT Waskita Karya, PT Wijaya Karya, Bank Tabungan Negara, Perusahaan Gas Negara, Asuransi Jiwasraya, PT Transportasi Jakarta, Martha Tilasr, PT Coca Cols Distribution Indonesia, and Combiphar.
