Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A total of 259 archers from various countries have been ready to compete to be the best at the Asian Games 2018 in Gelora Bung Karno Archery Field in Senayan scheduled on August 21-27.

Venue manager Tatang Fety Budiman said here on Sunday some countries have sent the biggest delegation of 16 to win medals.

"They include Chinese Tsipei, Malaysia, South Korea, Kazakhstan, India and of course Indonesia," he said.

Other countries such as Vietnam fields 12, Uni Arab Emirates, Kyrgistan and Tajikistan four each, Thailand 14, Sri Lanka one, Singapore nine, Qatar seven, North Korea seven, the Philippines five, Pakistan two, Nepal five, Myanmar six, Mongolia 14, Laos six, Saudi Arabia three, Japan eight, Iran 13, Iraq two, Hong Kong eight, China eight, Bangladesh 13 and Bhutan eight.

"Athletes from a number of countries have in turn carried out training at JiExpo Jakarta since August 16," he said.
