Palembang, South Sumatra (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian men`s beach volleyball team defeated Hong Kong in two sets in the 2018 Asian Games at the Jakabaring Sport City here on Sunday.

Indonesian players Gilang Ramadhan and Danangsyah Yudistira Pribadi have successfully defeated Hong Kong men`s team Tsz Ho Kelvin Lau and Pui Lam Wong in the Asian Games beach volley preliminary round.

The Indonesian team won in the first set, which was reinforced by Gilang Ramadhan and Danangsyah Yudistira Pribadi with 22 points while Hong Kong opponents got 20 points.

Then in the second set the Indonesian men`s team was able to finish the game with a score of 21, and Hong Kong had to settle for the score of 15.

In the first set the Indonesian men`s beach volleyball team continued to chase the scores with Gilang`s hard smash to add the score 15:16, but the Hong Kong team`s mistakes made Indonesia to equalize with 16:16.

Then the block from the Indonesian team led by 18:17 and finally managed to finish the game with 22:20.

While in the second set the Indonesian team was left behind with 1: 6. Slowly but surely the Indonesian team continued to chase the scores to reach 10:11, and then to equalize with 11:11 which finally managed to lead.

The Indonesian men`s beach volleyball team had to fight hard to get up and finally finish the second set with 21:15. *** 4 ***
