Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Japan won four gold medals in the Asian Games 2018 judo finals at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Thursday.

Japanese judoka Momo Tamaoki outplayed her South Korean contender Kim Jin A in the women`s 57 kilogram class with an ippon (full-point score), while Japanese judoka Nami Nabekura beat her Philippine rival Kiyomi Watanabe in the women`s 63 kilogram class with an ippon.

In the women`s 70 kilogram class, Japanese judoka Saki Niizoe outclassed Asian Games 2014 gold medalist Kim Seongyeon of South Korea with a waza ari score.

Japan won the fourth gold medal in the finals through Shohei Ono, who beat South Korean judoka Changrim An in the men`s 73 kilogram class with waza ari score.

Meanwhile, Kazakh judoka Didar Khamza took home the gold medal in the men`s 81 kilogram class after beating Saeid Mollaei of Iran.

Host Indonesia fielded its yudokas in each of the five classes. However, they were all eliminated in the qualifying round.
