Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Executive Board of the Indonesian Handball Association (ABTI) has stated that the International Handball Federation (IHF) is currently focusing on Indonesia to support the development of the sport in the country.

"I have met with the President of IHF Mustofa, and he said the organization will help develop handball in Indonesia," General Chairman of ABTI Maj. Gen. Dody Usodo informed Antara here on Friday (Aug 31).

Usodo remarked that the IHF will help construct a special outdoor field for handball.

Currently, the ABTI`s executive board is preparing an inventory of the facilities needed for the development of handball in Indonesia.

"Indonesian handball is still far behind. Adequate sport supplies and special glue, which are used, are not available," he pointed out.

Support and help from the IHF will greatly help the development of Indonesian handball, Usodo added.
