Jakarta  (ANTARA News) - Syarif Alwi, the doctor of Indonesia U-23 national soccer team, said the recovery for defender Bagas Adi Nugroho who was injured in the match against Palestine in the men`s soccer Group A of the 2018 Asian Games on Wednesday would take around around four days.

"In four or five days Bagas will be able to play again," Syarif said when met at the Gelora Bung Karno soccer field, here on Sunday.

The doctor, who was endearingly called Papi, remarked that currently Bagas Adi`s condition continues to improve.

Syarif said that if it is rated one to 10, the pain that Bagas feels is currently only three.

"That means he has improved," the doctor said, adding that Bagas`s pain stemmed from an injury to the ankle ligament.

Consequently, Bagas cannot play when Indonesia`s U-23 national team faces Hong Kong U-23 national team in the final match of the men`s soccer Group A on Monday evening at the Patriot Chandrabaga Stadium in Bekasi, West Java.

The U-23 national team of Indonesia is third in the men`s soccer group A standings of 2018 Asian Games with six points from three matches and opens the opportunity to qualify for the last 16.

In the standings, just above Indonesia there are Hong Kong who have seven points from three matches, while the top of the standings are held by the Palestinian U-23 national team who collect eight points from four matches and are guaranteed to qualify for the eighth final round.

Therefore, the match against Hong Kong U-23 national team is very important for Indonesia. Because, if you lose, Garuda Muda, nicknamed Indonesia`s U-23 national team, will most likely lift luggage from the 2018 Asian Games.

However, if he wins, Indonesia U-23 national team will certainly qualify for the 16th phase with Group A. *** 4 ***
